Hello everyone! I am very interested in a clock that is listed on ebay. I am really trying to collect only 18th century antiques now and I would like opinions about this clock. Is it worth what they are asking? Does the movement/face appear to be period-correct? I really love this clock but I want to make sure it is as original as possible. Thank you for any advice!

GREETINGS, THE CLOCKS AS IF IT IS DATED CORRECTLY BUT ONE OF THE MOVEMENT PHOTOS SHOWS THAT THE TIME SIDE MAIN WHEEL IS VERY CROOKED ON ITS ARBOR AND JUST BARELY CATCHING THE PINION. I DO WONDER IF IT IS REALLY FRENCH HOWEVER IT COULD BE. I WOULD ESTIMATE ITS AGE TO BE 175 TO 210 YEARS OLD. AND IT MAY BE WORTH 1500.00 TO 1850.00. I CANNOT TELL IF THE DIAL IS ORIGINAL TO THE MOVEMENT OR WHETHER THE DIAL AND MOVEMENT ARE ORIGINAL TO THE CASE. NOTE THE PIECE OF BRASS ANGLE ON THE BACK OF THE DIAL. Question HAVE A GOOD DAY. EDDIE

I would want to inspect the clock before spending that sum of money. Something about the dial looks funny.
