1959 Columbia Woody Woodpecker Clock

Has anyone on the forum every worked on one of the 1959 Columbia Woody Woodpecker, (or similar) alarm clocks? If so, I have a really basic question. How do you get the works out of the metal case? I can find no screws, or othe fasteners. The glass face does not pop off, or unscrew. I can find no apparent means to get inside, without breaking something in the effort. I am sure there is a simple method, but it is sure not apparent to me. Thanks for the help.

Please disregard the question concerning the 1959 Columbia Woody Woodpecker alarm clock. I have found the method to remove the works.
