Post subject: 3 Holes in the face
I have a pendulum clock that hangs from the wall.
I need to replace the face, which is 8" X 8.5".
However, the clock has two keys and three holes in the face.
Can anyone direct me to a site where they sell 3 hole faces?
Every site I've been to has 1 hole in the face.
Thanks a bunch!!

Mark,
The keywind pattern for any mechanical movement (or the dimensions which concern the winding arbors in relation to the center hand shaft of the movement) will differ from movement model to movement model. This would mean a lot of stock piled up in pre-punched dials that were made to accomodate any type of movement out there. A more feasible aspect is to custom punch clock faces to fit the winding arbors of the movement that the clock face will be used with.
Klockit offers custom punching for clock dials that we carry. There are two stock numbers: #26999 (which will have brass grommets), and #26998 (which will have antique brass grommets). Grommets are the small metal rings which surround the winding arbor hole through the clock face (creating an aesthetically pleasing "finished" look). Note that one of these "custom dial punch" stock numbers is selected in addition to the stock number of the dial (clock face) you wish to purchase.
Here's what you will need to do: Try to record the model number and maker of the movement you have. If Klockit can cross-reference it with a movement we currently offer (or have offered), we should be able to custom punch a face for you without any further info. If it is not a movement we carry (or have carried), then you would need to measure your keywinds in relation to the center hand shaft (or use your existing clock face as a template to provide Klockit with the necessary punch dimensions).
