Post subject: A Gift From An Old Friend
I was recently given a 8 day mantle clock by an old friend of my grandmothers but i cant find any information about it. On the front if the clock it says Bravingtons Ltd and below the number 6 it says foreign movt. Inside the case (bot left of the workings it has a stamp saying junghans with a star around it and wurttemberg below the star, above the star it has W63 stamped on it. On the top left of the workings it has 3 stamps 183/40 over 92, 6915 and 2.31. I am not interested in the value of the clock just the date or any other info would be much appreciated. Thanks in advance.[/img]

without seepng it myself i would reckon maybe 1930's onwards.
The workings made by Junghans are of German make.

You can post pictures on other sites (ex: Tinypics) and provide links to those sites within this forum.
Put which site forum you are relating too and i will have a look.
I will not guarantee an accurate answer as these are very often not marked on the back plate.
W3 may be Schatz make.
I think it's a shame people cannot post pics directly to this site but its all down to costs and willingness of the company. I think it would grow and more people would benefit but maybe that's not possible due to work commitments.
