I have a Garrard movement (pendulum) that strikes on the half & hour. It has a friction crutch. If I need to adjust it to set the beat correctly which way do I move the friction crutch. I seem to have to adjust it if I change the length of the pendulum. If I have a tick tock rather than tick - tock which direction do I move it?

move it towards the 'longest' beat. probably you say the 'tock'.
