Post subject: Advice on replacement parts
I recently bought a grandfather (or is it a grandmother?) clock case with a non-working movement because I like the case. There are no weights, shells or pendulum. Now I'd like to get the clock working, using the Tempus Fugit dial I have now. The existing movement is #451-050, 114 cm but of course I have no way of knowing for sure if it's the one that originally came with the case. It does fit in its mounting, the hammers line up with the chimes, and the chains go most of the way to the bottom, so it looks like the right one.
I've found several online stores that sell different parts, but I haven't found anyone that sells the 114 cm movement and all the parts. Is there one place where I can buy the correct replacement movement (chain driven, Westminster chimes), weights, weight shells and pendulum?
Also, I'm not clear on something: the 114 cm refers to the chain length, right? I can't figure out what size pendulum I should be getting. The glass on the front of the case goes almost all the way to the floor. How far down should the pendulum hang?

I believe the 114 cm refers to the pendulum - not chain length (but will admit that I have a general knowledge of mechanical movements). 114 cm is typical of Grandfather movements with "long" pendulums (as per Klockit catalog specifications).
We do not sell the 451-050, 114 cm movement - - but we do sell the 451-050, 94 cm movement. It would be a stock number 13001. The nice thing is that the "short" style pendulum movements (typically refferred to as Grandmother movements) offer a variety of pendulum lengths, just as with the long style movements - so you can achieve a similar look as a grandfather style movement.
How far down the pendulum hangs is more so determined by your clock case than anything else. You would not want your pendulum to extend below the glass opening of your lower door (so you can use this to help make the determination). Where it hangs down to in relation to the glass is purely aesthetic preference. Klockit measures pendulum length from the center of the hand shaft to the bottom of the bob. We also provide actual pendulum lengths next to our listed pendulums. Weights would come with the movement - and weight shells are available separately.
Thanks for the replies. Chris, can I be sure that if I buy a 94 cm movement, it will fit on the mount inside my case, which currently has a 144 cm movement, and already has the chimes inside?
What's the difference between 13001 and 13001r?
I see from Klockit's Website, the following will match the movement:
Short Lyre Pendulum #20095 37 ½" long, 11 ½" swing, 8 ¾" bob
Decorative Weight Shell Set #13110 or #13106
The weight shells conceal the actual weights, right? If I buy all of the above from Klockit, it would come with the weights? The rightmost weight would have to change depending on whether I use a stick or lyre pendulum, right?
