As the name implies, a repeater alarm will ring at the preset time for the alarm to go off, but it will sound again, usually within 5 or 10 minutes, in case you go back to sleep. Hopefully you are fully awake and up before the alarm spring completely runs down.

Some electric versions of repeater alarm clocks would continue to repeat the alarm every few minutes for up to an hour after the original set time.

The "snooze alarm" feature found on some clock radios today is the same idea.

Thank you ! I bought it at flea market and that's what I was thinking that is supposed to do , however after disassembling and cleaning it ,it started working ...but it does not repeat the alarm , not even after 20min ...
I'll be out on vacation for two week's ,but once back I will take it apart and post pictures ...I would love to to make it working with this feature ...

Hello !

http://i214.photobucket.com/albums/cc9/kirusa/IMG_0383-1.jpg
On this photo , once the button is pushed down it would take 30 sec. for the wheel ( 1 ) , to push the piece ( 2 ) , which will release the wire ( 3 ) and hammer will be free so the alarm will sound again .
However ..

Once the button is pushed down this piece ( 1 ) will stop the alarm spring , but now I do not see what is going to release it , in order that the alarm could sound again ???
I can make more photos if needed or take the movement out of the case !
