Post subject: Ansonia #1 replacement
Hello. I have a beautiful Ansonia "Sonia" tambour mantle clock case with five hammer westminster chime block.
What I don't have is the Ansonia #1 mechanical movement.
Is there a mechanical replacement westminster movement I can use in this case? Thanks, Matt

As you may or may not be aware, Ansonia has been out of business since 1929 so obtaining an original movement is not an option.
Photos and measurements would help considerably before a replacement movement could be suggested for your case. There is always the possibility that some minor adaptation might be necessary for the replacement movement to fit the case.

Hi, the face is 6 1/2 inches across the bezel. the winding holes straight across are 2 9/16ths center to center.
From winding holes to the bottom (time winding I think) hole is 1 3/4 inches.
From center hole (hour and minute hand arbor) to winding (time I think) hole directly below is 1 1/4 inches.
From center arbor hole to left or right winding holes appears to be 1 3/8 inches.
From center arbor hole to fast/slow hole appears to be 2 11/16ths inches.
How do I add a picture to here????
Thanks, Matt
