I have an Ansonia pendulum mantel clock from about 1900.

When I swing the pendulum to start it, the pendulum swings for about a minute and then stops. When I try to wind it, the spring seems to be fully wound (i.e., I cannot wind it any more). Looking in the back, the gears seem pretty clear and there is no sign of calcified lubricant or anything like that.

Any idea of what to try to get it going?

Thanks for your attention to this question.
