I have a couple old clocks that belonged to my great grandmother that my mother is looking to get the history on and find out how much they're worth. Are there any good resources online for this?
I've been looking today and it's a bit overwhelming. The clocks are in pretty good condition. Both still have the indentification stickers on them, but I'm still having trouble.
One is a Waterbury Clock Candia - I can't seem to find any info on this particular "Candia" model. It's like a mantle clock but narrower and taller, covered in possible maple veneer with brass flourishes. There's no date on it.
The other is a Sessions mantle clock - but there doesn't seem to be any model name attached and the produced hundreds of models. I'm guessing it's from the 20's as it looks very similar to others I've seen. It actually shares some pieces with other models. Basically a black piece with double columns on either side of the clock face, with a woman and a harp between the columns.
I can post pics later - but I forgot to bring my camera hook up.
