Post subject: antique tall clock
I have an antique tall case and I have no information on it, except it came from England. I bought it 30 years ago and it was very old then. The clock face has the name B. Cope and underneath that it says FRANCH, which I don't know if that is a city or the person's last name. Has anyone ever heard of a clock maker with the name B. Cope Franch or just B. Cope? I would like to sell the clock and have no idea what to ask. I think it is possibly from the 1800s or the 1700. It has the painted moons on it that turn and a British ship on the turning face also.
Thanks
Julie

sounds like a longcase (grandfather) clock. Probably made in the later half of the 1800's.
Don't know the names. price depends on condition and whether it is working ok or not. not something we can do here.
