Post subject: Any advice for building a giant sized pendulum clock?
I'm new to clock building but I'm very ambitious. I'd like to build an enormous sized pendulum clock with gears as big as dinner plates. My thought is to purchase a pendulum-clock kit and scale things up.
Has anyone tried this?
Does anyone have any suggestions for good kits or advice on scaling things up?
Any advice is welcome.
Thank you.

depends on what material you want to make the clock out of. Scaling parts while in theory would work, in real practice does not always work.
Many fine Wooden Gear clock plans that you may want to look at.
