Post subject: Any help on identifying this clock?
I recently came across this clock. All I can tell is it has a Hermle 1171-890 movement built in 2000 ("M" above Hermle). I can't tell who the case is made by. Anybody with any ideas is greatly appreciated.
The case assembly screams "Howard Miller" to me, but I must confess that I have no way to verify...
Generally, Howard Miller (and other current manufacturers) adhere a small brass nameplate to the center of the clock dial (face) with their company name. It would be a small, brass plate (about 1" X 1/2") with the company logo/signature.
You could also check for some type of paper "certificate of origin", which may be attached on the inside portion of the upper or lower back panel. I will admit that this form of identification is more prominent on older clock cases.

I looked through all the "current" Howard Miller models, and some look close. Assuming everything was made in 2000, like the movement, I haven't found any catalog of Howard Miller clocks in that year. I did remove the back panels and looked over every inch of the case for markings. The only thing I did find was the letter "F" imprinted where the screws hold the back on.
Thanks for your input, I will keep searching the Howard Miller models.
