What is the problem with doing most of your finish work prior to assembly? It would be easier to apply the finish to the inside of the clock and to the profiled edges. I was thinking about applying my stains and top coats prior to assembly and then maybe one final top coat after the clock is assembed. Is there a problem with this? It seems that it would be a lot easier to do clean up of any glue that squirts out and you wouldn't have to worry about the glue affecting your stain.

I think that we have communicated via e-mail about this (direct communication through Klockit.com). If not, simply let me know and I can offer some advice.
