Post subject: Atomic clock won't adjust to the new Daylight Saving time
Is there anything I can do to update my atomic clock (purchased this past summer) so that it makes the Daylight Saving time changes on the right days?
The one I have is the 12" hardwood oak frame clock, number 14047.

If your clock has not corrected for daylight savings time, then it may be that the clock is unable to recieve the radio frequency due to possible interference.
Try placing the clock near a window (a window which would face the general direction of Colorado - where the signal is transmitted from). Set the clock up so it faces out the window and allow it to try to catch the signal (leaving it overnight if the need should be). The window does not need to be opened. Keep in mind that radio signals are stronger at night time - so you may want to set this up in the early evening. In most cases, this should allow a stronger signal reception for the clock to self adjust for daylight savings.
If the clock is still not changing, consider other possible effects that could hamper the signal. Typically, electrical appliances (high energy appliances) will dampen signals. Metal also dampens signals (aluminum siding, etc.). Try to move the clock or remove any extraneous factors that can inhibit/dampen radio signals (and then repeat the above mentioned suggestion once again for better signal reception).
If all else fails, contact us directly (through "ask Klockit" or by calling our toll free number).

I have the exact same problem with a Howard Miller Analog atomic clock I bought about a year ago. It is not an issue with lack of reception. I have forced a resync at least 10 times since Sunday morning and no matter what I have tried the clock always resyncs and displays one hour earlier than it should. I have toggled the DST on and off but to no avail.
Since I live in the eastern time zone I can't even fool the clock into displaying the right time. I'm curious to see what happens when the date of the original DST begins. Is it possible that the dates are somehow hard coded into the movement? I have 4 other atomic clocks in the house, all digital, which have had zero problems with the new DST rules.

I will readily admit that my technical abilities specialize more so in kit assembly, plan dimensions, and finishing. However, I do have a general knowledge of all products available through Klockit (which allowed me to respond initially). When a question or problem exceeds my knowledge, I turn to our experts (in this case – the RC technicians). With that being said…
I am told that, in most cases, resetting of the movement should correct the problem (within a couple of days at most). In regard to resetting the movement, please contact Klockit RC Technical Support. They can run you through the process (which, briefly summarized, involves inserting the battery backwards to "reset" the receiver chip memory). While there may be a sticker highlighting this process (on the movement), it would be best to speak with a technician to ensure that there is no defect with the movement itself. You may contact Klockit RC technicians through the "Ask Klockit" feature, or you may simply call our toll free number (1-800-556-6474).
