Hello members,
Question: Can an Atomic movement be used with a metal dial provided the dial has a wooden back board to it? Thanks much, Mark B.

The metal will still (more than likely) disrupt the signal to the internal antenna of the movement. While the clock would still continue to run like a normal clock, it would not be able to keep synchronized with the radio signal to adjust time-keeping accuracy. If you wish to use a metal face, you could look into the “Set & Forget” movement option rather than an Atomic movement (see link below). It is a nice alternative when you have a desired clock face in mind that may restrict certain movement use.
