I'm missing the small brass hook that is used to attach the pendulem to a Baldwin Grandfather clock. Is there a source for Baldwin parts? Thanks much...

Baldwin grandfather clocks were a venture of Baldwin Piano & Organ Company (Baldwin Pianos, Wurlitzer Organs, etc.) It's a beautiful clock clearly marked "Baldwin" on the clock face. I could not find any other manufacturers marks on the back or inside. It was purchased about 25 years ago.

I believe Baldwin has been in and out of bankruptcy a couple times. I imagine Baldwin acquired a clock company about 25 years ago and discontinued the clocks during one of their bankruptcies.

Thanks for your help.

look on the back plate of the clock movement for the manufacturer, and model number. It is most likely a Hermle movement, once you have that info you should be able to get the part.

this guy may be able to help with the part or identify your clock movement: http://www.clockworks.com/replacemove.html

repairers take the information for parts from the mark on the back plate of the mechanism to identify the maker.

the name on the dial is not always the maker but often the retailer who sold the clock.

a picture of the back plate may be helpful. use a photo hosting web site to put your picture on then put the link to the picture here.

something 25 years old will probably be worthwhile making a part for if you cannot find any parts.
