Post subject: Beginner question
Just started making my own clocks a couple months ago. What would anyone recommend as a simple pendulum movement to learn with?

Any quartz pendulum movement would work well for a beginner. Find a movement that would best fit your clock assembly. One of the key measurements to keep in mind is the maximum dial thickness - or how thick the dial (and wood backing - if applicable) would be. This is important as it will help to distinguish which shaft length movement to purchase. All quartz movements should list maximum dial thickness. Keep in mind that you can also select the longest maximum dial thickness and simply construct a spacer block that would mount behind your clock face and backing board (if a backing board is used). I would recommend looking at #11096/11098 movements initially. If you type either stock number into the search box and hit “go”, you should see all the movement options for that type of movement. Don’t forget to check into the pendulum bob size you would want (as there are three options). Please feel free to call Klockit if you should have any questions.
