Post subject: Bought a wall clock today at an estate sale
Bought a wall clock I thought was interesting at an estate sale. Looking for information on date and manufacture. I know nothing about clocks in general and bought this one I guess because I liked it and It looked old.
Not sure how to insert photos that I have
It has the following features
1. Ansonia clock key to whined the clock and other end looks like it goes over the hand dial to maybe set the clock time.
2. Back of the clock when removed from the case has an eagle with a circle under it with the letters FMS in it, the S is on the bottom.
3. Also has the numbers 27/131 D.R.P. on the left side and 6445 N5500 OR25/56C on the right side.
The style is known as a regulator clock. The key is not original to the clock, as you have a narrow end which would fit through a small hole at the 12 to regulate the time.
Maybe someone else will have a clue of who the manufacturer is?
