Post subject: Bulova Mantel clock question
Was given this clock, and since I dont really know much about them, I was wondering if someone could help me identify this clock. It's a Bulova, says Westminster below the word Bulova, and underneath the 6 it says "Made in W Germany".
Just curious as to exactly which one it is, and if its actually worth anything or just another $50 or $60 mantel clock. I've tried searching all over the net and havent been able to find an exact match to it. A few appear similar, but there are differences, especially in the types and style of digits on the face, as well as the style of the legs.
Thanks for your help

Looks like an average clock.

You may want to try contacting the company directly. Bulova is still out there and they may have an archive of old designs...
According to their history, they have been manufacturing clocks as early as 1911, so I think it would be worth checking into.
There is some interesting back story surrounding Bulova. According to their website, they aired the first television commercial ever (in July of 1941). It preceeded a Brooklyn Dodgers game and ran for a cost of about $4. Quite a neat tidbit of info!
As a side note: I do think that the "made in Germany" notation is specifically in regard to the glass/bezel and clock face (however, this is an educated guess at best).

the case looks modern as the finish and design of the case looks quite similar to something Hermle make.
a picture of the mechanism inside theback would be great as i'm curious to see it.
