Post subject: Bulova Wall Quartz
I have an older Bulova schoolhouse type clock from the 1980's. It has a battery operated geared pendulul movement (no chimes) and takes a D cell battery - pendulom length is abt 20 inches. The movement ran w/o fail for 25 years straight - never a problem. The japanese movement is made from a thick clear plastic and you can see all the internal gears. the battery runs a motor that winds a mechanical spring. The movement was still going strong however the clock fell from the wall and the movement has been damaged. Is it at all possible to find a replacement movement like this or do I have to get one of those cheap quartz movements ??

If you are talking about a Japanese Quartz Chime MT-13005 movement (the only Japanese movement I have heard of on a repeat basis), I don't believe those are available anymore... you may have to find a suitable replacement.
