Here is a photo link.
The clock was presented in 1913 to an employee of the British Australian Timber company in Coffs Harbour New South Wales, Australia, on the occasion of his marriage. As we are researching the life of this person it would be nice to know a little about his clock. Scrolling through pictures of Ansonia clocks on the web has proved fruitless, most being much more elaborate than this conservative, modest clock with the resonant bong! ....which incidentally is still in good working order.
Hope someone can help. We are very fond of this clock!
cheers

Ansonia was producing over 400 different clock models by 1914, when they increased export of large quantities of clocks around the world (including Australia). Some clocks were elaborate, and I am certain some were modest (to keep at an affordable price point). Finding your exact clock might be a bit like finding a needle in a haystack. As far as history is concerned, I am afraid that there is probably not much to be found in regard to the clock. It was probably one of a number of designs conceived for clock production around that time (and that may very well be the extent of it). Here is some information about the company itself:

Thank you for the advice. I have asked my local library to see if they can get a copy of the book in.
cheers

I looked thru my copy of Tran Du Luy's book on Ansonia clocks and this model is not listed. It could be that a case manufacturer bought the movement and dial from Ansonia and put in their case.
