Post subject: CD Clock
As a Boy Scout project, we will be making clocks from old CDs. Since the center hole of the CD is larger than the mechanism, can anyone recommend a washer or something that will hold the clock mechanism to the CD (and basically covers the hole). Thanks.
The inside diameter opening of a cd is typically about 9/16" diameter. I would recommend a 5/8" - 3/4" outside diameter (o.d.) washer with an inside diameter (i.d.) of no less than 5/16". That should do the trick (if you already have a CD for a dial and just need the washer).
