the hermle clock mechanism 141-040 is offered with a number of different pendelum length. what part or parts are changed to accommedate a pendelum length change. klock kit offers a gong assembly but with a short pendelum. i wish to create from their offering an assembly with a pendelum of about twice the length. what do i need to change? micheal

you can get the movement with a number of lengths here at one price. http://www.clockworks.com/hermle/140.html

More than likely you need a new escapement wheel, suspension spring, verge, etc.. No simple project. Then you void the warranty.

hermle use different amount of teeth in their wheels to accommodate pendulum lengths for different size cases.

centre and third wheels.
