Back in February of this year I bought the Realistic Chime Movement - No Pendulum (catalog number 12082). It is a non-winding battery operated set. Takes a "C" battery. It has the most amazing chimes, and I am glad I bought it. Obviously some digitized actual clock chiming was captured for this. We love hearing the soft chiming in the house. But it does not keep time well at all. Seems to need a new battery every two months. That helps, but it loses about 30 minutes a day and so is never very accurate. I noticed when I installed it that there was no adjustment for keeping time, some knob or something with a "+/-" range of settings. So I guess either I can't read very well or there just is no adjustment. We are happy to have the chimes but it is disconcerting that it is always wrong. Is there anything to do with this particular movement? Many thanks, Brent

hi brent, this is a very simple problem. for some reason with this movement the energizer batteries do not work well with it. if you try a duracel battery it might work for you . the energizers do not make a contact well enough.

Brent, The +/- signs that you see are the time adjustment. Turn the knob towards the plus sign to speed it up. Do this by small degrees til its accurate. Mark B.
