Clock Chime Problem

I have a pendlum type wall clock that has a chime problem.
It doesn't matter what hour I set it to, it only chimes once.
Any suggestions?

I guess that should have read "pendulum."

Could be several things, depending on the type movement you have. A photo would be helpful.
