Clock Hands

I need a new secound hand, but I do not know how to measure the length?
Is it total length or is it measured from the shaft hole?
There is on I like and the length is 2 1/2 inches. So is that total length or not??

If you are looking at second sweep hands on the Klockit website, please note that we measure our second hand length from the center of the mount hub to the end of the hand. The 2-1/2" dimension would probably not reflect the total hand length.
