Clock info

Hi,
I resently was given a clock and would like some information on it. It is a mantle clock i believe by Junghans. The numbers on it are:
W2781
38 4
i know it is German made but that is all I know. I have ordered a key for it as I did not get one with the clock. When I get the key, which way do I turn each one as their are 2.

Winding arbors for movements will typically be rotated clockwise with the key/crank. I am not aware of any exceptions to this, however please keep checking back for further posts. We have some very experienced patrons who know a bit more about this than I.

if you were given the clock it probably means it doesn't work anymore.

Even if you wind it up it may only go for a short while , usually (99%) like this need a service.
