Hello: I am new to this and I need some help.

I had purchased a clock sometime last year and the clock shows the time properly. it is a swinging clock and the pendulum does not keep on swinging. I have changed the batteries adjusted the magnet, but would work for 15 minutes or so then stop. Any ideas why it does not ike to swing? Thank you.

To give an idea below is the link of the clock:

Clocks of this nature (as shown in your photo) typically used mechanical movements. Do you know if the movement was switched over for a battery operated one at some point and time? If so, and the original pendulum is being used, it may be that the pendulum is too heavy for the quartz movement.

You could also try to level the clock as best as possible to see if the pendulum performance would improve.

Worst-case scenerio, it could be that the movement has failed (this would especially be true if the pendulum used to swing for you previously). Luckily, quartz movements are pretty versitile (so you should be able to locate a suitable replacement).
