I have just recently acquired a German W & H Bracket clock. The clock seems to be in very good condition and was easy to get into beat and get running continuously. The clock though runs extremely fast. I have lowered the pendulum bob to as low as possible and also have the front speed adjustment to the slowest possible setting. It still runs about 5 minutes fast every hour. The pendulum looks like the original, but I suspect that either it's not or possibly the suspension spring was replaced with the wrong size.

Any suggestions? Are there any other possible reasons for it running so fast?

does the pendulum look short relative to the case?

how much gap do you have between the bottom of the pend to case?

probably as u say - the wrong pend.
