Post subject: clocks from plans only.
I have built several clock kits and they came out quite nice but never tried it with plans only. I ordered plans for a clock that wasnt available as a kit but now that I see it, its a little more difficult than I think I am capable of producing. What is the best way to find someone who can make the cabinets with the plans that I have and get good quality workmanship?.

Check around locally. You can begin by consulting the yellow/white pages for cabinet makers (etc.). Give them a call and see if they would be interested in making this clock for you. You can also check into local woodworking clubs (which seem to be all over the US, consisting of retired woodworking hobbyists). If you have a woodworking show coming your way, you can usually find out what woodworking clubs are in your area. You can also check on the internet.
Something not often considered… You could also see if a high school shop teacher would be willing to offer it as a project to an advanced student. I have spoken with a few customers (unable to machine their own clock for whatever reason) who have successfully had this done.
