countdown clock

I want to make a countdown clock that rings every hour. How do I do it? I never made a clock before. Are there parts sold here (kits?) to do this?

A clock that would chime on the hour (every hour) is not so hard to find. You can purchase quartz or mechanical movements that would chime every hour. A count-down clock, however, that would count backwards (chiming on every hour) is something that I have not seen the likes of. Please let me know if I have misunderstood anything.
