Cuckoo 13 times

Well it's August in Florida which means outdoor activities are out so I've decided to try to get a few of my clocks going again. I'm a car person normally, not a clock person so I'm mechanically inclined but clock dumb.

First try. Cuckoo clock, three chain #25 1 day movement 6 eyars old used very little
It has two problems.
#1 It cuckoos 13 times on the half hour and the hour every single time.

#2 The dancers and music box don't work.

It seems the oil in the music box has turned to glue which is causing that not to work. I'm thinking I can clean that and reoil and it will be good as new. I haven't any idea what to do about #1. Your suggestion would be greatly appreciated.

the same thing has probably happened to the clock movement.
you haven't picked an easy clock to learn on.

see if you can clean and oil both.
