Cuckoo Clock Chain Installation

Loop went missing from chain that runs clock and chain went all the way through and dropped out. The chains for the cuckoo bird and the music are okay. Have installed the fallen chain, but it won't pull either way. What is the proper way to install the chain, and where? I probably do not have it installed on the proper gears. HELP!

a common problem - when you installed the chain the hook is now on the wrong side isn't it?

easy to fix - you will two pair of small pliers.
twist one of the chain links near to the hook about quarter of a turn and unhook th chain.
do the same to the other side and swap over the hook to the other side and straighten the link ip again and do the same to the other side and there you go.
