I have a near new cuckoo clock (one day Swiss chalet style w/music, dancers, wood chopper man and turning waterwheel) that was running just fine until this morning. At night I use the night shutoff lever. When I turned the night feature off this morning to reactivate the cuckoo bird call and gong strike feature, the clock now strikes twice on every half hour. Music plays fine and the clocks strikes the correct amount of times on every hour. The problem is the two strike on each half hour Evil or Very Mad Does anyone have a simple solution and could maybe guide me through a simple fix for this problem?

Thank you for your time!

An image of the cuckoo clock is below. Does anyone recognize the clock and possibly who's the maker/manufacturer of the clock?

Where's all the help and good advice? LOL. I thought I would have at least gotten a reply by now from some cuckoo clock expert here on the forum Sad

Manufacturer information might be able to be located on the instructions you received with the clock (or perhaps on the case itself - i.e. the inside of the case back panel). This looks to be a pretty modern cuckoo, and was more than likely produced in the Black Forest region of Germany if I were to take a guess.

In regard to a fix, I am not certain I could offer any advice. Personally, my mechanical movement knowledge is general at best. You can keep checking back for other forum patron posts, and you can also consider posting on the NAWCC site as well. Between these two sites, someone should be able to offer possible suggestions of the problem. Above all, you may want to seek out a qualified repair-person to inspect the assembly if no one should be able to provide any suggestions (or to affirm that a possible suggestion would be valid).
