Post subject: Cuckoo clock weights
I found a russian cuckoo clock Majak and the movement is 93104 (from Catalogue of spare parts for watches, part2, SSSR Moskva) but the weights are missing. Any information about this cuckoo and weights will appreciated . Thanks

Post subject: Cuckoo clock weights
Modern Black Forest cuckoo clocks break down into either one day or eight day movements. Generally most one day movements will operate with weights between 275 to 420 grams. Eight day movements usually require 1000 to 1500 gram weights. I'm not sure if Russian movements follow the same guidelines.
Older one day movement Black Forest cuckoo clocks (pre WWI) operated with heavier weights than those found on modern clocks.

Not a movement i think we recognise straight away
Try some 30hr weights and see if it runs.
Gonna be a bit of guesswork with this one.

generally by the size of your chains I would say eight day. Like they said before, little trial and error. I would start with a set of 8day wts.
