Hi, Has anyone found a simple way of restoring a silverd dial that has rub marks?

In know that there are polishes and such that can be purchased at local retailers/department stores. I do not see why you could not use something similar to silverware polish (but experiement on an inconspicuous area of the dial initially).

there is a silvering compound you can buy to resilver dials. The rub marks are most likely worn spots.

by 'rub marks' i assume you mean where the dial has silver coating missing?

quality dials are silvered and lacquered to keep the finish.
the only thing you can use to try and improve it without stripping and re-silvering is Cream of Tarter mixed with water and gently rub on the dial.
