Does anyone know about Zenith clocks?

As primarily a wristwatch guy I am very familiar with Zenith watches.

I have, however, just come upon this Zenith alarm clock / piggy bank:

The clock has Medor Patent on the back of the movement and, oddly, the alarm sets via a dial on the back of the wind-up movement.

There is a coin slot in the back, and coin storage in an area beneath the clock-works . . .

If anyone has any specific knowledge on Zenith clocks, I'd certainly appreciate hearing from them.
