Post subject: Dont buy clock parts from R and M Imports
R and M Imports also known as Herschede Hall Clock Company to some in Ohio, has horrible customer service! The high school girls answering the phones has absolutley no clue about clocks and will put you on hold for parts and pricing questions for another person, I believe some sort of manager named Mike, who also has absolutley no clue about clocks nad the company in general. The owners Eddie and Randall are the rudest indivisuals I ever talked to. I do not recommend this company to anyone. There is too many companies out there in the same field to be disrespectful to customers. Just spreading the word. God Bless!

That is one of the flaws of being human, sometimes we suffer from "bad hair days" and nothing anyone can say or do can make us feel good about waking up that morning. Herschede Clock Company was "born and raised" in St. Louis, MO and is an old and trusted clock company with an impressive record for manufacturing classic well designed tall clocks. Their model 250 clock is a sight to behold and one that I would dearly love to own. That being said, I wonder if your experience was one that others have had or simply one of those "bad hair" days for either you or the people at R&M??
I do not deal with R&M simply because I have other distributors with which I have a solid relationship. But, I, as a lifelong independent businessman, would never condemn another business based on a single bad experience of any kind. I do not know all the particulars of your decision to "spread the word" but it seems like some dialogue between you and the company may expose some mitigating circumstances that had some bearing on your reaction to how you were treated.
