I am trying to get my clock to chime. I know it works, but I've lost the instructions. It shows three symbols, a moon, a sun, and a moon with a line through it.Am I correct in assuming the moon with slash means night silencer, the moon means chimes only at night, and the sun means only during daylight hours? Then, on the other side of the movement is a switch, one with an O , one with a B, and one with a W .Am I correct in assuming that is O for no sound, B for one type of sound, and W for the other sound? I fiddled with this clock about a year ago and got it to chime perfectly on the hour, but the clock was boxed up and out of my hands for a while, and now I unpacked it, but cant find the instructions for the movement, and I need it chiming right by Sunday, to show it off. Any help greatly appreciated! Dale

PS to Klockit : It would be a valuable asset to have the instructions for the movements online as a free download for idiots like me that cant seem to keep track of nothing![/b]

Here's what the button icons stand for:

Moon - Night Reduction (this will mute the chimes for approximately 8 hours. Volume will mute to about 1/2 of normal daytime volume).

Sun - Normal chime/strike (this will allow the clock to chime every hour, each day)

Moon (w/ slash) - Night Shut-off (this will silence the chimes from about 10:00 pm to 6:00 am each day)

O = shut-off (shuts off the chime function entirely)
W = Westminster (type of chime melody)
B = Bim Bam (type of chime melody)
Some models also have an "A" icon. If so, this will stand for "Ave Maria" (type of chime melody).

Sorry this info did not make it to you by Sunday. If you should need another instruction copy, it sounds as though you would need #12231A. In regard to downloadable instructions, please note that we are passing along this recommendation to our superiors (as we agree that it would prove to be very beneficial to customers).
