Hello,
I am a new new member and do not know a lot about forums. I collect grandfather clocks. Now I have acquired a English grandfather clock. Unfortunately, the complete clockwork and the Grahem deadbeat escapement is absent in the clock. The clock is from Eardley Norton who was known for his clockwork.I try to replace the missing parts. It is not a huge problem to replace the anchor position but with the rest, it is difficult. Now, I am searching for pictures or drawings of the clockwork in a similar grandfather clock. In the book “ English Grandfather clocks” written by Derek Roberts is almost the same clockwork of Norton pictured but unfortunately from behind and in poor quality. Is there anybody who can help me or can tell me, where I can find material about this topic?
