Post subject: Emperor Grandfather clock
Movement problems. I have a model 120 series Emperor Grandfather clock MD. 120 series. Movement built in 81 Movement I.D. 451-050H with a 94cc & 66 on plate. the Movement Model is 101M. It stopped clecking and I believe the suspension spring is bad. The pendulum bob is 4' AND THE LENGTH IS 32". Can you help me find the proper suspension spring if this is my problem. Thanks for your help. Jim

Hi Jim,
Check out these 3 links. You may find what you need.
my recommendation is that yyou buy a NEW mechanism complete from a supplier.
used ones will give you a bigger headache than you have already - I KNOW 'COS I'VE BEEN THERE DONE IT AND HAVE THE T SHIRT!
if you just want to waste a little money on a new suspension spring then buy one from a supplier for the model you have - 451-050.
you will find there maybe a little different from your old mech - just tweak as needed.
make sure you get the right one - the 94cm unit which is the pendulum length right for yours.
a 1981 unit is pretty old and not worth spending time and money on unless you have twenty years and a hell of a lot of patience to waste too.
please take my word for it - i usually replace the whole unit for a new one - it will then last a lot longer.
