Hello,

I have an emperor model 120-K grandfather clock that was handed down.

It was built from a kit back in 1976. I was working on in and the pendulum suspension spring broke.

What suspension spring would be a good substitute for this pendulum?

Thanks to anyone who has some information.

Tom

It is a good idea to jot down the make and movement model number. This information may be located on the rear plate of the mechanical movement (usually etched on the left or right side). It would also be a good idea to measure overall pendulum length and bob diameter (as these factors may play a roll in the type of suspension spring you will require - Light Duty, Medium Duty, or Heavy Duty). Note that the movement may dictate which type of suspension spring to use as well.

Klockit offers three types of suspension springs (which work with either Hermle or Kieninger movements).

Feel free to contact us with the information described above and request to speak with our mechanical technician. I am certain we can help.

I would go to timesavers, they have pictures and dimensions of the springs so you can match it.
