Post subject: Frank Hermle mantle Clock
Hi from the UK
I've had a clock in my wardrobe for many years and is in mint contidion. It's been in my family for at least 40 years.
Am woudering if it's worth selling it as it of no real use to me.
I've tried to do a search on the model but cannot come up with anything.
Just recently, i took it into an Antique dealer and he's going to get back to me after he makes his own enquiries! Altho he was very interested in it!
I would be very greatful if someone who is in this field could shed any light on this and how much could i expect to get for it.
The Make: (FHS) Frank Hermle
The numbers inside the rear of the clock is: 68
and on the bottom: 340 - 020
the 68 usually represents the year it (the mechanism) was made.
1968 clock would have been made in better quality than one today. depends on the case and what type and you could email a picture to me if you want. sage000000@yahoo.co.uk
i only repair them but could indicate a rough value.
