We recently purchased a storage unit where we found a Franz Hermle wall clock. Trying to find out some information about it. It is in excellent shape. All oringinal on the back it is printed:
76
Franz Hermle
Made in West Germany
UNA) JUSTE)
341-020
[u]37.5
112.5

On the face it says Westministerchime and made in U.S.A.

I have looked under Franz Hermle and could not find out about the piece we have. If anyone can tell me something that would be great! Even if you could tell me where I can go to find inforation.

Klockit had used to carry that particular unit as a stock number 13015 (#341-020 45/cm). I believe that the "76" is indicative of the date of manufacture (but could be mistaken). This is an 8 day Westminster chime Regulator Pendulum spring-driven mechnaical movement (it's a mouth full). It will chime on the hour, including strike the number of hours, and play partial melodies on the quarter hours (Westminster only).

This type of movement would predominently be used in wall clock assemblies. At the time Klockit sold it, it also included the center vaulted clock face (8" diameter regultor dial - I believe), clock hands, and grid pendulum with 3-1/8" "R/A" pendulum bob. The assembled/mounted movement measures around 18-1/2" H X 7-1/2"W X 3-3/4" depth. Note that Hermle could have potentially made some changes to this movement over the years of manufacture (so the supplied dimensions may not be completely accurate in regard to your movement).

Very good find indeed! It will, however, probably require a good oiling (and possibly cleaning) prior to use. Make certain to look into this.
