If you knew the model Hermle clock movement that was in the clock, you could most likely purchase a new one as most replacements are still available.

Hermle movements contain a model number on the rear plate of the movement itself (in most cases). This model number is etched onto the plate (usually on the lower right corner as you face the rear of the movement). Once you know the model number, you should be able to find parts.

I don't have any of the movements as the clock repairer kept them years ago
I now know part of the model number on the movements plate it has 82 and also it has 130-0?? on the movement plate there should be 2 more numbers i think where i have question marks.
I did find a similar clock with 81 and 130-070 on the movments plate and they look similar

yes that's the right calibre number as it were.
All you need is the 130-070 which is the mechanism type.
Your next problem may be the hands as the previous bodger put quartz hands on which will not fit the mechanical movement you are going to re-fit.
These can be bought too.
If your in the UK like me then I could supply one or Cousins is a supplier with a website.
You may also come across a problem if the plate that holds the movement has been removed. This fixes to the centre of the dial with a brassnut originally.
