I just bought this Cuckoo Clock at an auction, but cannot find out any information about it. I can find ones similar, but none have the 2 birds on top. Can anyone tell me anything about this? It is not musical, but it does have the chime and cuckoo. It has 3 birds total, 4 leaves on the clock and one on the pendulum. It says W Germany on the face. If you know anything, please let me know! I would like to find someone else with one like this for sale to have an idea of what it is worth. Thanks!

From it's condition and type it's a recently made clock.

There is some writing on the back plate of the mechanism that will tell you/us the maker of the works and the date it was made maybe.

you may see a make like H Herr or Regula or Anger/Auger etc and some numbers.

Sorry for the late reply, I had trouble logging back in. Here is a pic of the inside showing the makers stamp. The only part I cant make out is the number at the bottom. It looks like 3 digits starting with a 4, possibly 440 or 449. Is there any way to find out when it was made?

They are not recognisable numbers.

Heres the pic, I dont know why it is gone from the first attempt. The thing about this clock that makes me wonder is the orientation of the birds. I have not been able to find another one like it.

I think the numbers are the type of movement and not related to any year of manufacture.

Sorry but my guess is it could have been made anytime inthe last 40 years.
