I have an old clock given to me by a cousin. It has four bronze horses attached to a frame and wheels on which the green porcelain carriage sits. Kind of looks like Cinderella's carriage. The problem is that my cousin PAINTED the bronze horses with GOLD PAINT. Is there any way I can get it off? It looks just horrible now! Looks very cheap, and I don't want to even display it (unless she comes over, of course!). I hope you can help!

You could look into commercial paint removers. You would want to check the remover in an inconspicuous area before applying to the visible areas of the horse. It would definitely help if you knew exactly what kind of paint was used (brand, formulation - that is latex or oil based, etc.). The manufacturer of the paint may even be able to give recommendations or specific instructions for paint removal.

As Chris stated you would want to try removing the paint on an inconspicuous portion first. Any remover may well dissolve not only the spray paint on top but the original finish too. The original finish may have been applied also.
