Grandfather chimes at wrong time

I have an Ethan Allen grandfather clock that keeps time fine but the hour strike chimes occur at a quarter after the hour instead of the hour. Any suggestions? Looking at the forums it seems that maybe I have to unscrew the minute hand, move it back 15 minutes and screw it back on. Does that sound right? Thanks.
