Grandfather clock maintenance

I built the Norm Abram's tall case clock about 3 years ago, just wondering what kind of maintenance is envovled and how I should go about doing it!!!!!!

If the movement is quartz (battery operated), the only required maintenance would be a battery change about every year or so. If the clockworks are mechanical (wind-up/weight driven), then movement oiling is recommended about every year or two (with a general movement cleaning every three to five years). If it is a mechanical movement, you may wish to purchase a book entitled "Clock Repair Basics" from the following site:

www.clockmakersnewsletter.com

This book will cover aspects of general maintenance (as well as general repair suggestions if the need should be).
